Seymour’s Flights of Passage by Christopher R. North – Amazon Kindle
I really enjoyed reading this book. It’s beautiful written with some lovely descriptive imagery i.e. ‘fingers of sunbeams’ stretching across the water. Each chapter is a life lesson in growing up. Starting with Seymour struggling out of his protective shell to taking his first flight. An adventurous little seagull, we see him take on and relish the world around him as he experiences, joy, fear, love and lots more. There is some profound advice on the ups and downs of life and I will be reading this to my nine year old granddaughter. Growing up is hard to do and I think she would love this book.
